What is
arborala? That's me: Paula, born 1977 in Berlin, hotel management apprenticeship, detective commissioner candidate, mother of two children, Master in Scandinavian Studies, development aid project manager, sales manager for a manufacturer of wooden playground equipment and now a mixture of designer and artisan. Sounds wild and chaotic? In a single sentence for sure, but spread over a few decades, it's half as bad. :)
A few years ago, my wish to work independently grew stronger and stronger. And so I threw myself headlong into this adventure and I didn't regret it. Creating something directly with my hands and bringing joy to other people is what motivates me every day. OK, not literally every day, life is not an Instagram Story after all.
Today I live with my family and a few dogs, cats, chickens and geese on a former farm south of Berlin. What used to be stables for cows and fodder is now my workshop. It's there and at my desk (which coincidentally also serves as a kitchen table), where the things are created that I offer here in my shop. True and authentic.
